Tshepo Moloi was born in (Johannesburg 1992) but grew up in the rural place of Daggakraal, Mpumalanga. He moved back to Johannesburg, to finish his schooling career. In 2015, He became interested in photography, He then started photographing and experimenting around his community. In 2016, he was part of a group show (‘Fluxus Now’ by Space Space Gallery, Johannesburg). In 2017. In 2018, showcased again with (‘Howdy’ by Space Space Gallery, Switzerland). In 2019, He showcased at (‘Spring Exhibition’, Julie Miller Art, Johannesburg). In
2020, He participated in the following group exhibitions, ‘The Portrait Show’ by (Through The Lens Collective, Johannesburg), ), ‘NOSTALGIA’, (Darkside Collective, USA), ‘6 FEET’, (Timespecific, New York), (‘Beauty/?’ by K.L.8, Belgium), ‘URBAN MYTHS’, (Berman Contemporary & Through The Lens Collective, Amsterdam), (‘For Justice’ Maintain Momentum, USA), (‘PAPER’ & ‘Stilled Life Exhibition’, Turbine Art Fair, Virtual Show). In 2021 participated and exhibited with Kampala Art Biennale, ‘Get Up Stand Up’ (virtual show), again with Through The Lens Collective, ‘PICTURES FROM THE INSIDE’, (Virtual show) Participated on a portfolio review with Ian Perry Scholarship, Has also showcased( Ukuzazi with Latitudes Online and The Arts Company Soweto ,2023). photographer who focuses on topics such as belonging, identity, community and its subthemes.
