VISULE KABUNDA, BEARING WITNESS

I took this self-portrait under a mango tree—planted by my father at my family home in Lusaka, Zambia. The tree was planted the same year I left Zambia and this portrait was taken a few days after I returned. This tree has become a living archive, bearing witness to a myriad of personal and familial transformations.
