LILLIAN BENNY : Where do I land
In my photography, I explore the intricate relationship between humanity and nature, capturing the profound connections and contrasts that exist within this dynamic interplay. Working primarily in black and white, I aim to strip away the distractions of color, allowing the raw emotions and textures of my subjects to emerge with clarity and depth.
My work often juxtaposes human figures against natural landscapes. I am drawn to the moments where nature’s resilience and fragility intersect with the human experience—whether it’s a solitary figure navigating a vast landscape or the delicate touch of a hand on the bark of a tree. These compositions encourage a dialogue about how our paths are shaped by the places we inhabit and the environments we traverse.
